Personality: Simon has always been a quiet kid. He dislike going into big crowds and preferred to stay on the sidelines. He has never been one to approach a person unless given a reason too, he isn't very social either. On friend terms, he has few if not none. Simon is very tiny in mind, very simple and straightforward. That does not mean he isn't smart, his knowledge ranges fairly wide, but he rarely expresses it.
Simon isn't mean, he is fairly caring and kind. But not normally to people, he loves Pokemon more than anything.
Looks:
Simon is very odd, yet simple. his hairy is a blank, snowy white with small streaks of grey. His hair is sort of messy but well kept in the same way, it's purposely messy. Simon has dark blue eyes with small streaks of silver around the pupil. His eyes are rounded and the dark color makes his skin seem paler than it really is. He isn't that pale though, in fact, he has fair skin, not what you'd expect. Size wise, he is large. He has a tall and spidery frame, but don't get me wrong, he is strong. But he'd never fight back.
History:
Simon was born and raised in Hyra City to a single man in his early twenties. His father had made bad decision before and his mother had left him there in a quick decision for her to finish school. With his father, Simon dealt with beatings, drugs (To Dad, Not Him), Drinking, smoking, and eventually, police, but not until he was ten.
Simon at age 4 was put into kindergarten, his father couldn't afford a preschool, and he didn't want to wait another year. Simon showed exceptional intelligence and got to skip kindergarten. First grade was when he was picked on, but then, it was only small things like his age or hair.
It only worsened until he got to 4th grade. Then, he was teased and even beaten up for his father's mistakes. They called him names and Simon grew quiet, he strayed away from groups and stuck to the shadows. but nonetheless, he was picked on and bullied until 7th grade when he turned ten.
At home, the situation stayed the same, drugs, drunken beatings, curse words, all from his father. Eventually, in an illegal dealing, the police arrested his father and they tried to take him into the state. Refusing to be taken, Simon fled from his home into the streets of Hyra City. But not before taking a drastic measure. Drenching the house in gasoline, he set fire to the house, burning it to the ground.
He met the Gym leader, a kind old man in his 50's, in a small store where he had been begging for food/money. Simon feared the man at first, but he eventually came around. The man taught him about Pokemon and how to be polite; he even adopted him, taking the man as his guardian. He was taught to be a gentleman to both humans and Pokemon. But Simon took to the Pokemon more. Simon was amazing in battle, by that time, the man had given him his first Pokemon, a carvanha.
For the next couple years he was trained to take on challengers and by the age of 16, he inherited the gym from the man who had sadly died.
